Coral Beach Resort Midweek Bogey at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club

With a decent sized field for the time of the year, the Coral Beach Resorts Bogey formatted competition headed back to Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club on Tuesday 2nd August.

The course has been noted to be in fine condition and the golfers certainly took advantage of the smooth running greens.

The winner of the event was Northern Emirates Loyalty Pass member Simon Brind, who played superbly to finish 5 up against the course over the 9 holes. Brind who plays off a handicap of 24 had 3 nett pars and a birdie within his 9 holes of golf. TS Char narrowly missed out on winning two tournaments back to back at SGSC as he was narrowly beaten on a scorecard playoff. Finishing in 3rd, one shot a drift of the top two was Jim Gelder who just couldn’t quite make 5+ even though he finished with a nice par. Fourth place was tightly contested with 3 golfers all wanting that last SGSC voucher; however the golfer with the best countback was Adrian Adams who was impressively only 5 over gross playing of an 18 handicap.
