Burrow and Parkin take SIAN Events Golf Series 1st qualifier at the Arabian Ranches Golf Club
Max Burrow & Tobias Parkin were crowned Champions at ARGC on Friday, 16th March in the 1st qualifier of the SIAN Events Golf Series.
The series consists of four qualifying rounds with the top 10 teams from each qualifier going through to compete in the Final to be held in January 2013.
On a perfect day with 84 competitors in the field the pair of Burrow & Parkin managed to post a brilliant score of 72 combined stableford points to claim the title.
Each competitor used his or her handicap index as the Tournament allowance.
The winners were impressive on their way to posting 72 points and win the title by two points from runners up Gary Swan and Graham Wood. In a format that required both players to score consistently the Champions posted Individual scores of 40 and 32 points respectfully on their way to victory.
Burrow & Parkin posted an outward half of 34 and an inward half of 38 pints as a team. Both players made valuable contributions to the card and shared the responsibility equally, however the round of the day did belong to Burrow posting a brilliant gross 68.
The prize presentation was conducted by Simon McDonald Chairman of SIAN Events, who thanked all the players for a fantastic turnout and a wonderful day.
