BMW Rivoli September Medal at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club

The BMW-Rivoli September Medal was played today at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club producing a great turnout of more than 70 players despite the hot and humid conditions. It was Emirates Golf Club member Alex Wonyop-Kim who continued his run of form and secured his second victory of the summer with a superb net 63.  After being presented his prize Kim commented; “I always feel comfortable playing the stunning Creek course and I always seem to play well here.  I’m very happy with my win today and qualifying for the Luckiest Ball on Earth final in October.  Finally I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at the Creek for their good work in these events”.
Another fantastic performance on the day came from Kennon Ryder who took top spoils in the Men’s Division A, finishing with a 2 under-par 69.  Mark McCarthy finished with a solid 1-over par net 72 to take the runner-up spot.  The Men’s Division B was a very one sided contest with Mohammad Khan winning with a superb net 68 with a 5 shot cushion over Madhav Nair who finished in second place with a respectable net 73.

Harini White put in another good performance and took her second victory in as many weeks with a 1-under par net 70 which secured her another 1st place finish in the ladies division.  Another repeat winner came in the form of Dhruv Nair who made a fantastic net 65, the lowest of the day to secure top spot in the junior division.  Finally it was Paul King, a consistent performer who took the overall gross prize with a three over par 74.

Head Professional at the Dubai Creek, Stephen Hubner commented; “ It has been wonderful to welcome so many of our members back from holiday and we’re happy to have had such a good turnout, especially considering the tough conditions.  Thanks as always to BMW and Rivoli for their sponsorship of these events and their continued support of Dubai Golf”.
