BMW Rivoli March Monthly Medal at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club

Saturday March 3rd saw the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht club host its third BMW-Rivoli monthly medal of the year with over 80 golfers all participating in this increasingly popular event.

In extremely windy conditions the tournament again proved to be a huge success with some fantastic scoring on the day.

Taking the top title and winning the March BMW-Rivoli Monthly Medal was Milind Nadkarni with a score of 66. On receiving his Rivoli prize Milind commented, “It was a difficult afternoon, with Shamal winds creating havoc for an average golfer like me. I, therefore, decided to play safe, rather than my usual-self going for big hits!!! That helped … And, most important, the putter worked”.

Other winners for the afternoon were Patrick Morrow in the Men’s Division A section and Karup Devanand in the Men’s Division B section. Ladies winner for the day was Joy Lirio with a score of 73 whilst Adam Savage kept the run of impressive results from the junior section, scoring a net 70 to take the top spot.

Head Professional at the Dubai Creek, Stephen Hubner commented, “Conditions were extremely difficult today so I am impressed to see so many good scores, with again an exceptional performance from our junior golfers. Our thanks once go to BMW and Rivoli for their continued support”.

Lastly it was consistent Creek member John Fellingham who won the overall gross prize for the day with Neil Taylor, Farad Lakdawala and again Patrick Morrow all being successful in the prize draw.

The next BMW- Rivoli Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club Monthly Medal will be held on Saturday 7th April.
