BMW Rivoli December Medal result at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club

This was the first monthly medal under new co-sponsor Rivoli which added a nice fresh feel to the day.

Head Golf Professional at Dubai Creek Stephen Hubner commented: “It is wonderful to have Rivoli join BMW as co-sponsors of the monthly medals at both Dubai Creek and Emirates.  It has allowed us to reduce the entry fee and offer better prizes to winners adding a great deal more value for our members.”

Another reason that this particular medal was special was that it was a qualifier for the Grand Final of the prestigious Golden Ticket event which will take place at Yas Links in January.  The lucky winner of the Golden Ticket will then qualify to play in the Emirates Airlines Invitational hosted by Abdullah Al Naboodah.  There they will be given the one in a lifetime opportunity of partnering one of the world’s top tour players.

Long term Dubai Creek member from Sierra Leone, Tejan Fadlu-Dean won the event in convincing fashion with a gross 75 less his seven handicap for a nett three-under par 68.  After his game a delighted Tejan commented: “I was giving my drives a good pasting today.  I was out-driving Miki (Miki Mirza, Creek Club Champion) by at least 30 yards on each hole!”

For his efforts Tejan received the beautiful BMW-Rivoli trophy, some gift vouchers for Rivoli stores and a Titleist bag which was kindly donated by Carpetland who are a partner of the ‘Golden Ticket’ event.  In addition to this he has qualified for the Grand Final of the Golden Ticket.

The lowest score of the day was produced by the winner of the Junior Division.  Young Aashka Desai who has been on some hot form of late scored a sublime nett 66 to win her category easily by 6 shots over Dhruv Nair.

Winning the Men’s A Division with a nett 71 was Neil Taylor.  Taylor won on a count-back over Adhip Shankar who also produced a 71.  The Men’s B Division was also decided on a count-back and was won by Peter Stapleton with 72 who edged out Sudhir Vora.  The ladies division was won by Mego Han with a nett 76.
