BMW Members and Guests Social results at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club

The format for the February Members and Guest Social was Shambles Betterball Medal for the front nine holes and Betterball Medal for the back nine holes, with prizes for best overall score, best front nine and best back nine up for grabs. Oliver Chen and Reyna Han produced a round of 62 which consisted of nine net birdies and two net eagles to clinch the overall prize.

Gary Langthorne and Alistair Macgregor also scored a net 62 overall but were pipped by Chen and Han on an official countback. However, Langthorne and Macgregor produced a six under total of 30 on the back nine betterball medal to take the best back nine trophy.

A stunning finish in the shambles with three net birdies on the last three holes of the front nine helped Noel Enriquez and Madhav Nair take best front nine victory.

Claudette Dumoulin won the longest drive and 10 year old Zubair Firdaus won nearest the pin. A great morning again for the sponsors BMW with over 20 pairs out to compete, our thanks are once again extended as all winning golfers picked up some pro shop vouchers, a commemorative trophy and also enjoyed a presentation buffet after play courtesy of BMW.
