BMW Members and Guests Social result at Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club
The ever popular BMW sponsored Members and Guests Social returned to Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club on Saturday 10th September. As usual all teams of 2 players compete for prizes on both the front 9 and back 9, with longest drive and nearest the pin awards to be won as well.
The front 9 format was the popular Texas Scramble, as all teams get 2 chances with every shot, winners with a 2under gross score of 34 and nett score of 32.65 was Curtis Hegge and Jason Silver. Taking the back 9 trophies over the better-ball stableford format were Ian Wilson and Glen Norrie who recorded an outstanding 8 under 26 points to just about pip the partnership of Abdul Moiz Khan and Parvez Ahmed.
Longest drive for the day was awarded to Ramli Sulaiman, who knocked a ball 20 yards past his nearest rival on the par 4 7th hole, and the nearest the pin award went to Curtis Hegge with a superb approach on the par 3 17th.
All golfers then enjoyed their free buffet in the Flavours of Asia courtesy of BMW who continually provide excellent sponsorship of the event.
