Back to Dubai to recuperate and continue on the journey

I'm struggling with my form due to a serious injury to my intercostal muscle

Hi Everybody,

I have returned back to Dubai from a 3 tournament event at the KGA Eagleton and Clover Greens Bangalore. In the events, I struggled with my form due to the serious injury to my intercostal muscle that happened about 2 months ago. I had treatment in Dubai and Mexico and really thought I was ready for the tour… wrong! I had spent weeks pre-tour preparing but knew in my own mind that I was not 100% match fit and was still a little wary of damaging my muscle even further so was only swinging at 75% power. This leads me to be short off the tee and was leaving myself long irons into the green. It was also a struggle with diet in India, being a vegetarian made it even more difficult. Delhi belly got a grip of me in the first few days and my energy levels dropped to an all-time low. Dehydration was a big problem also and I did, however, take lots and lots of salt solutions to try and combat the situation.

My best golf was not in the bag I am afraid, but having returned to Dubai and re-energized myself I am going through some serious rehab with my coaches. I will not be ready for the next tournament in 2 weeks which will take place in Delhi. I am now focusing my mind on joining the Ladies European Access Series which begins the start of 2012. This will give me time to get back to full fitness and sharpen up my game. The European Tour will take me to Spain France and the UK of which I am looking forward to. I am positive in my thinking and my preparations have already begun. I am on a new regime set by coaches of gym work and more gym work for core strength…

As the cooler weather is not far away it will then be time to put in my practice on the fairways.
