August Rivoli Members Monthly Medal Results from Jumeriah Golf Estates

The August Rivoli Members Monthly Medal was contested over the Earth course recently with a large field of contenders in all divisions, fighting the course as well as the high temperatures to take first place and secure their place in the Rivoli Medal Finals this December.

Division A witnessed a bunched leader board with several players jostling for first place honours. Martin Uchytil combined an excellent net two under par outward nine of 34 with a turbulent back nine of net 37 to record a finishing total of net 71. Martin captured his first Rivoli Medal win by a single shot over Ayaz Afridi who, after a card playoff with Mike Talbot, took the runners up position after signing for a level par net 72.

Division B was a two horse race between George Erasmus and Darren Jacobs. Running away from the field and producing great scores that were well under par, these two members battled the course and summer conditions admirably. In true champion style a net birdie, birdie finish from George pushed him ahead of Darren over the closing holes by signing a stunning net 64, 8 under par with Darren finally finishing a commendable second on net 65.

Ladies Division – perseverance was the key to success for Annie Browne who climbed one position higher than last month’s medal of second place to take the winner’s cheque this August. Annie found her form on the back nine of the formidable Earth course to receive her Rivoli vouchers and Crystal Gallery tumblers.
