Ashish Varsani wins the Kempinski Hotel Ajman Medal at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club

A sublime gross 4 nett 2 from Ashish Varsani on the final hole at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club helped to secure him the winning position in the Kempinski Hotel Ajman midweek medal played on Monday 30th April. Varsani topped the leader board with a 3 under net score of 33 for the 9 holes played; other highlights were pars on the 2nd and 4th holes.

Ultimate pairs winner Haneef Rabbani returned to the club he had been triumphant only a month prior to put in a steady performance and walk away with more silverwear by winning the Division 1 prize, Rabbani also finished strongly by being 3 under nett for the last 6 holes, this was good enough to pip 3 other golfers who had all also finished on a nett 36. The Division 2 prize went right down the leaderboard to Steve Gurung who returned a 39 and most likely thought he was out of contention, but the day was dominated by the lower handicapped golfers so Gurung managed to pick up the Division 2 award by beating two other players in a scorecard countback.

All of the three winners receive pro shop vouchers to spend at Sharjah plus luxurious pampering vouchers to be used at the magnificent Kempinski Hotel in Ajman.
