Armstrong Dominates with Sub Par as Allen wins Gross at Al Badia Golf Club

The 7th Monthly Medal of 2013 sponsored by Rivoli at Al Badia Golf Club and the field that competed in this Individual Strokeplay competition are playing for prizes in both Net Divisions and Overall Gross.

It was Brett Armstrong who came out trumps to win the tournament with a phenomenal gross 71 net 68. On route to Brett’s subpar score consisted of a 1 over 37 front 9 and a score of 2 under 34 on the back 9 ensured enough work was done to clinch the top spot from the competition. Impressively Brett carded birdies on holes 8, 10 & 18 coupled with consistent performance on the other 15 holes.  Paved the way for John Allen (Photo Above) to win best Gross score shooting 75 which also included back to back birdies on hole 3 & 4 which is no easy achievement. Vice Captain Richard Kim won Division A (hcps 0-14) with a nett 73 and Division B (15-28) was won by Chris Vasey with a net 69.

The on course events went to Brett Armstrong for his longest drive on hole 12 and Chet Riley for nearest the pin on hole 7.  In the Ladies Division, Yoshiko Kawakami was the winner for nearest the pin on hole 11 and Michelle Hilbert collected the prize for longest drive on hole 12.
