Arabian Ranches 6th Aquaventure Junior Golf Series

With six events played and two remaining, the tension is mounting amongst competitors in the recently launched and increasingly popular Aquaventure Junior Series.

The competitions are hosted by Arabian Ranches Golf Club with events held monthly on the Academy Course. Participation is open to children under 16 years who have progressed from an intermediate status within their golf clubs Junior Development Program. An unrivalled opportunity awaits the top 24 kids in the Order of Merit from the 44 strong membership; a place in Championship Day, and the chance to be crowned the first ever winner of the Series.

Spectators have been treated to some very passionate and determined displays throughout the Series, with 87 birdies scored so far, and an eagle (Hole in One!) achieved by Rayhan Thomas, the viewing couldn’t be easier!

The last event played on the 26th March saw two young stars claim their maiden win. The gross prize went to Mikhail Roger Pinto following a solid level par round of 27. The prize for the net category was collected by seven year old Connor Kirwan who shot an impressive net 21.

The goal is shared by all – accumulate enough points in time for the decider on the 14th May. Currently the standings are close at the top with Dubai Creek’s Rayhan Thomas leading the race. With two events outstanding, plenty of points are up for grabs, and fellow Creek compatriot Dhruv Nair and Arabian Ranches Karam Sehmi (sitting 2nd and 3rd respectively) will fancy their chances of lifting the Crystal Galaxy trophy.

The next event is on 30th April when once again 44 children will battle for exclusive entry into Championship Day held over 9 holes of Arabian Ranches Championship Course.
