Andrew wins Individual Stableford at Arabian Ranches Golf Club

Andrew Poole (14) posted a brilliant 43 Stableford points to win the Individual Stableford event held at Arabian Ranches Golf Club on Friday, 30th July.

Each competitor used their handicap index as the Tournament handicap allowance to be taken at the appropriate stroke index holes. This allowance was used to calculate the net score in points, a net score of par for 2 points, net birdie 3 points, net eagle 4 points and a net bogey 1 point. Tees, Men – Blue Tees, Ladies – Red Tees.

Poole took full advantage of a perfect day for scoring, to post an outward half of 22 points with 5 net birdies and 2 net eagles on his card. He kept his cool on the back nine where he posted a further 21 points with the only blemish on the card coming at the seventeenth hole where Poole managed only 1 point. The Champion total of 43 points gave him the win by the count back from runner up Richard Hall (10) who had 9’s 23 & 20.  

In the Ladies division, Arabian Ranches Janet Sanderson posted 39 points to claim the title by two points from Sheila Alban. Starting on the 10th, Sheila leads the field of ladies with a superb 21 points, however Janet took control on their final 9 with a brilliant score of 23 points to secure the title.
