Al Ghazal Golf Club January Monthly Mug & Farewell to Dennis
The first medal of the year at the Al Ghazal Golf Club was a special event celebrated by a full complement of members as Dennis Cox prepares to leave Abu Dhabi for home in the U.S.A.
As part of the farewell celebrations Dennis wanted to Sponsor the January Monthly Medal, and in the traditional sand course roots of the Abu Dhabi Golf Club by renaming the medal as the Monthly Mug. Dennis is currently compiling Abu Dhabi’s Sand Golf history and has become quite an authority on the subject. The eventual winners of the January Monthly Mug received engraved Selangor Pewter mugs.

Winner of the Ladies Division with an impressive score of nett 67 was Li Rhodes followed by runner up Ming Brown on 71. Men’s A Division was won with a one over par 72 by Rene Valencia; one shot behind in second place was Emile Snyman on count back from Ken Ritzal. The Division B winner was Rob Brown on 69 from Bob Malone on 75 on count back from Ruben Jamora. Division C winner on 70 was Abdulrahman Laggtti from Adda Haouara on count back from Abdulla Al Muharrami both with 75.
2’s Club winners were Division B Chris De Beaufort and Division C Abdulrahman.
Captain Juma Mussa thanked Dennis for his generosity and wished him on behalf of the membership Bon Voyage.
