‘Al Futtaim Team’ Dominates Spikes Scramble Tournament at Al Badia Golf Club
Al Badia Golf Club by InterContinental Dubai Festival City recently held the Spikes Scramble Tournament for its members and their guests. With the golf course in fabulous condition and beautiful weather, it was a perfect game setting for great scoring.
The first place winners were the team of Colin Cordery, Paul Batson, David Foster and Jef Tyler with a score of 56.6. The team combined well together and the round included 8 birdies and 1 eagle with 3 of the birdies coming on Par 3’s. This will also be the 3rd prize for Colin Cordery in as many events so he is certainly hitting some form!
Runners up on the day with a close score of 56.9 went to Mark Adams, Iain Milligan, Gerry and Giles McDevitt. The team played some solid golf without any drop shots on the card.
The third place team went to Chet Riley, Nicola Bunn, Helen Shippey and Club Manager James Shippey. The group had a score of 57.8. It took the team a while to get going paring their first 7 holes but then hit their stride with an eagle and 3 birdies with a 5 hole period.
