Abu Dhabi Golf Clubs pink ladies raise 30,000aed for breast cancer research

Abu Dhabi Golf Club hosted the annual Pink Ladies Golf Day earlier this month, more than AED 30,000 for Breast Cancer Research was raised as 92 ladies took part in the fun-filled event. This year the theme was ‘70’s Disco’, with prizes up for grabs for the Best Dressed Team.  Wild and wonderful outfits dotted the club’s National course, from the ‘Dancing Queens’ to ‘The Supremes.’ Every team taking part put in the extra effort to make this truly an event to remember.

Ladies making their way past the judges’ panel were first marked for the Best Dressed Team award, before heading onto the course ready for the 10.00am shotgun. Once the ladies had finished their rounds they made their way to the top floor of the clubhouse for a fantastically laid out buffet lunch, raffle prize draw, auction and prize presentation.

In first place came the ‘Pink Birdies,’ made up of Fiona Berry, Gunda Lampe Schneider, Denise Hayward and Paro Mukherjee.  A strong second place was awarded to the ‘Discoettes’, with Mi Ran Lee, Jody Knapp, Wanni Jefferson and Janar Mussinova making up the team. Winning the coveted Best Dressed Team award was the ‘Pretty Punkt’ team, with team members Debbie Betts, Caroline Milford, Suzie Linaker and Trisha Stubbs.

The day was a huge success, raising AED 30,450 (and counting!) for charity.  Abu Dhabi Golf Club would like to thank Michelle Larter, the event organizer, who once again created a brilliant day out for all who took part.
