Abu Dhabi Golf Club welcomes Martin Robinson to the coaching family

Ranked by Golf World as one of the World's Top 100 golf courses, Abu Dhabi Golf Club welcomes Martin Robinson to the family. Hailing from Wirral, England, Martin started playing golf at the age of 13 and developed his game and career. He went on to become a fully qualified PGA professional whilst working at the Caldy Golf Club in Wirral.

During his time there he cultivated his coaching skills by teaching a wide variety of players and was also successful competing regularly in PGA competitions and regional tours throughout the UK. In order to add another dimension to his coaching, Martin gained a specialized qualification with International Mental Training company Trained Brain and has continued to develop those skills in the years since. He is now a qualified NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Master Practitioner, a very practical form of sports psychology that has enabled him to conduct mental training courses to both groups and individuals.

“I am excited to join the Golf Institute at Abu Dhabi Golf Club and I’m eager to work with aspiring golfers, and those interested in learning to play golf and developing their game,” says Martin Robinson. “I look forward to teaching them using my combined method of mental and physical training. Aside from the physical game, the mental game is one of the most important areas that should be improved in order to achieve peak performance,” he adds.

Martin joins Abu Dhabi Golf Club from the Royal Golf Club in Bahrain, where he spent three years coaching in a comprehensive golf academy. His aim is simple – to provide a high standard of coaching by bringing together his skills in the mental game with good technical advice to deliver a holistic approach to his students.
