Abu Dhabi City Golf Club Peugeot Club Championships 2012 results

The 20th and 21st of April saw the playing Abu Dhabi City Golf Club’s flagship Event- the  Peugeot Club Championships. A full field of 96 Players were treated to a wonderful Weekend of Golf by our principal Sponsors, Peugeot and Omeir Bin Youssef.

The conditions over the 2 days were tough- hot and windy weather and firm, quick Greens making good scoring very difficult and testing the Players to the full.

In the Ladies Division, Emily Seigel won the Day 1 Nett Prize, with Faye Doran taking home the Day 2 Nett Prize. Elizabeth Campbell was the overall Ladies Nett Winner with a Nett 150.

The Day 1 Nett Prize went to Saleh Al Ameri who had an astonishing Nett 63 whilst Rob Smith took the Day 1 Best Gross with a solid 74.
The Day 2 Nett Prize went to our principal Sponsor, Mr. Jamal Sahl from Peugeot Middle East, who had a Nett 69, whilst Tim Munnerlyn took the Day 2 Best Gross with a 78.

The overall Division C Winner was 12 Year Old Tariq El Chaib who had 2 great Rounds of Nett 72 and Nett 65 giving him a total of Nett 137. Tariq is a product of our very successful Junior Golf School and someone who we are very excited about – keep up the good work Tariq!

The B Division Winner went to Vijay Ganju after 2 steady Rounds of Nett 70 and Nett 69 and a total of 139 Nett.
The A Division Winner was won by Jonathon Craig after he posted 2 exceptional Rounds of Nett 67 and Nett 70 for a 137 Total.
The Overall Nett Winner went to Chris Thomson after a scintilating Nett 66 and a Nett 64 – a Nett 130 Total.

The ADCGC Peugeot Ladies Club Champion was Ana Villaroya with a Gross 85 and 97 – a total of 182. James Prince became the ADCGC Peugeot Men’s Club Champion with a Gross 71 and 77- a total of 148- after making birdie on the 36th Hole to win by 1 shot from Robert Smith.

ADCGC congratulates all of the Winners and would like to sincerely thank Peugeot Omeir Bin Youssef for a fantastic Event.
