A new era arises in Al Ain for Palm Sports Resort Golf Club

The Palm Sports Golf resort in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi had a special event earlier in the week to celebrate several new beginnings.

Firstly the name of the whole resort has now changed to the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club and is aiming to move forward even further.

The Golf Club itself, which is situated within the sports resort has had a massive revamp with  several major changes with some superb facilities for the surrounding city. Formerly a 9 hole Course, it now boasts a new, updated and well shaped back nine becoming a full 18 hole Golf course. This back nine includes the longest hole in the UAE at a monster 678 yards and the club have also added a new par 3 academy course and excellent driving range facility.

Earlier in the week, Bradley Dredge European Tour pro who is signed to the course visited with Peter Whiteford to play a special exhibition match for the members, officially opening the Al Ain facilities.

Playing with them in a special 4 ball was Ladies Tour player Lisl Esterl and Local Pro Simon Payne from Tower Links who regularly wins the order of merit on the UAE PGA.
