A high quality international field is expected for the sixth Faldo Series Middle East Championship

Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club ready for the big event

The Championship will return to Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club in Abu Dhabi on February 13-14, where the winners will qualify to join Sir Nick Faldo at the season ending Grand Final. The 2014 event at Al Ain boasted representation from 24 countries and the 2015 event is proving a similar draw for the best young golfers in the region. Local youngsters will benefit as Sir Nick Faldo’s personal coach Keith Wood is on hand all week to provide clinics for the players and local schoolchildren from the city of Al Ain.
“The Middle East Championship at Al Ain is a very important tournament for us in a key region as we look to continue our efforts to grow golf globally through the Series,” said Sir Nick Faldo. “I thank Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club for their support and we are proud to contribute to the expansion of golf in the Middle East.”

“It is a privilege to host the Faldo Series Middle Championship for the third year,” said Gavin Chappell, Golf Manager of Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club.  “We are delighted to host a tournament with a fantastic mix of local talent and international class in the field of over 60 participants that will be competing this year.”
