3 Years of Continued Success at Al Hamra

The 15th of April 2010 saw Al Hamra Golf Club celebrate its Three Year Anniversary since opening and to mark the occasion a Fourball Texas Scramble was staged where the members took on the club’s golf professionals.

The Al Hamra Pro’s team, comprising of Andrew Pilfold, Ross McArthur, Simon Mees and Alasdair Danson-Webster laid down the challenge of complimentary drinks for any team who beat them, but fortunately for them their score of 60 was unbeaten. The professionals round of 60 consisted of 12 birdies and 6 pars. The winning amateur team of Ian Broom, Paul Hoban and Robert Hoban finished with a net score of 63.8 following the deduction of their 6.2 handicap. Only 0.1 shots further back on 63.9 and finishing as runners-up were the team of Tony Gibney, Dave Martin, Victor Hails and Victor Husband following their gross total of 74.

A sumptuous buffet and cake cutting ceremony followed the game as the club celebrated their three year milestone.
