2nd Audi Invitational at Abu Dhabi Golf Club

The second annual Audi Invitational was held on 22nd October 2010 over Abu Dhabi Golf Clubs National Course. In testing weather conditions, this year’s event turned out to be a classic with the top 5 teams separated by just 2 shots.

With a team score of 41 points, Pauline Cunningham and Sana Tufail took third place by winning on a back 6 hole play-off. Pauline and Sana held off the challenge from Graham & Sandra Bellwood and Kazunori Tsutsumishita & Jun Nishimura with their play-off victory.

Second place went to late entries David Fitzgerald and Peter De Beer who carded an excellent team score of 42 points. However, the drop shot on the 18th hole proved to be costly for David and Peter as Guy Williams & Leon Pretorius took this years Audi Invitational Title with a back 9 play-off victory after also scoring 42 points.

Guy and Leon’s dramatic victory earns them an Audi Driving Experience at the Autodrome in Dubai.

Special event winners on the day include Adrian Raisbeck (Men’s Longest Drive), Sana Tufail (Ladies Longest Drive), Sandra Bellwood (Ladies Nearest the Pin) and Chris Ross (Men’s Nearest the Pin).
