2014 Emirates Golf Federation Order of Merit Championship results

The Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) held the 2013–2014 Emirates Golf Federation Order of Merit (OOM) Championship at The Els Club. This respected event held over 50 golfers, across three different divisions.

The Els Club golf course is one that sets a new standard for golf in Dubai. Stretching 7,538 yards, The Els Club was the perfect venue to host the EGF OOM Championship. With the right amount of challenging holes, the golfers had to be in top form the weekend to make an impact on the leaderboard.

The EGF OOM Championship had representing divisions for Men’s, Ladies’, and Juniors. The field was composed of the top amateur golfers from each division that had supported and competed in the EGF OOM Season events, all season long, including one sand course event.

The championship was played in a gross format. This two-day, 36-hole event, proved to deliver a test for every golfer participating. With temperatures reaching above 45 degrees Celsius, it was evident that summer is here in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Michael Harradine (EGC) was the winner of the Men’s Division. After shooting a 72, even par, during the first round, Harradine found himself two shots back. With a 73, 1 over par, on the second round of the event Harradine sealed his fait. Having a total gross score of 145 Harradine won the event by 3 strokes.

Finishing as the runner-up in the Championship was Rayhaan Thomas (DCGYC). Thomas took the low round award on day one for shooting a 70, 2 under par, but struggled a bit on day two with a 76, 4 over par. He was also the winner of the EGF OOM Season in the Boys Gross Division.  Hartzuiker’s 70 on the second day gave him the day two low round award to add to his victory.
