2012 US PGA Members and Guests Texas Scramble at Jumeirah Golf Estates

Low scoring was required to challenge for any of the top honors in the 2012 US PGA Members & Guests event being played on the Earth course. The format of Texas scramble enabled all players to work as a team and achieve very low scores. In third place after a card count back was the team of, Michelle Walsh, Jonathan Hall, Craig Finlayson and Craig McInnes. Managing to achieve a fantastic net score of 59, coming home in net 29, this strong finish was just the ticket to consolidate in this high position. It was a photo finish to establish first place, again a card count back was required over the final nine holes to separate two teams who had recorded a pair of superb scores.

A courageous effect by the quartet of Mike Talbot, Ernie Barratt, David Haswell and Alan Burke achieved a team net score of 58 coming home in net 29 however it was not enough to see out Nadir Mohammadi, Ayaz Afridi, Jehanzeb Awan and Avinash Pangarkar who matched their score, although having raced home in an amazing net 28 this fourball were crowned the 2012 US PGA Members and Guests Champions. 

As a consolation, Mike, Ernie, David and Alan picked up first place in the side US PGA contest with their PGA professional, Zach Johnson.
