18th green drama hands Feron and Delecarz beat the Pros title
The final member’s competition of the 2010/2011 schedule took place this past weekend on Abu Dhabi’s Golf Clubs national course.
The final competition, the Beat the Pro’s Challenge, saw members seize the opportunity to take on Abu Dhabi Golf Club’s elite professional team in a Texas Scramble format. The professional team included Ken Kosak (General Manager), Scott McCaw (Director of Golf), Danny Jakubowksi (Director of Instruction) and Steven Munro (Golf Operations Manager).
In testing weather conditions the professional team posted a very respectable score of 59 after all four players missed a 6ft putt on the final 18th green. The final putt was to be proved costly as two teams nudged ahead of the professional team with scores of 58.7.
The competition winners were the team of Cathy Feron, Jeff Feron, Pascale Delecraz and Laurent Delecraz. They were declared the winners after a back 9 play-off against Mike Burke, Steve Stephens, Ali Moosavi and Jamie Shepherd who had came in second place.
