17 year old Jung Bin Kim reigns in the HSBC Club Championship at Abu Dhabi Golf Club

The hotly contested HSBC Club Championship recently returned to Abu Dhabi Golf Club’s National Course, with over sixty players competing in two days of intense competition.

Faced with strong winds and teeing off the black championship tees, Jung Bin Kim’s exceptional two rounds of 77 proved consistency is key, with the junior golfer lifting his first HSBC Club Championship trophy. Sung Jin Hwang, who carded rounds of 79 on both Friday and Saturday, edged out Bilal Belaid by just one shot to claim second place.

In the women’s competition, it was a more one-sided affair, with Paromita Mukherjee defending her HSBC Club Championship title after posting outstanding rounds of 85 and 79, leaving her an impressive 13 shots ahead of runner-up Lina Tyson.

In the men’s 0-14 Handicap division, victory was claimed by Chris Rossmeisl, whose net score of 150 proved too strong for Tariq-El Chaib, who followed in second place just two points behind. Whilst in the Men’s 15+ Handicap competition, Thomas Dauer was a worthy winner with a net score of 129 over the weekend.

Finally, Cathy Siegel claimed victory by just two points in the Ladies Net Division after carding a net score of 148.
