A number of members of Al Badia Golf Club recently attended a stableford tournament on 17th July, in conjunction with the British Open being held in St. Andrew’s at Scotland. The players’ score were paired with the second round scores of the top 15 golf professionals of the British Open.

At Al Badia Golf Club Jan Vandrey top notched this event after his score was paired with Martin Kaymer’s 4 under par rounding his score to a total of 42 points. Sylvain Denis had a fairly steady round and with the help of his professional partner, Camilo Villegas who had 1 under par, saw his score of 35 points moved up to 36 points, securing his position in the second place. David Chapman settled in the third place at 35 points with his professional partner, Phil Mickelson having no effect in his overall score.

Confident contenders did not allow this day to end without winning any prize.  Nearest the pin was won by Neil Grant with his 10 feet close to pin shot on hole 11, while Vivian Verma’s tee shot proved best with his 290 yard long drive in hole 4.
