Members of the Indian Golfers Society will embark on a tour of Scotland to experience the thrill of playing the game in the spiritual home of golf and learn more about the robust traditions and history of the country which is about the same size as the UAE.

The FOGS Golf Society, Dubai, has presented a cheque for Dh100,000 to the Seve Ballesteros Foundation, a non-profit organsation that primarily focuses its efforts on funding research projects on brain tumours.

The Filipino Golfers in the Middle East inaugural Summer Eye Ball, Annual Stroke Play Golf Classic 2011 awarded Madhav Nair as its first over all Champion with a net score of 69 playing off 18 HCP.

On a pleasantly breezy afternoon the three times defending champions became four times champions over the 7,303 yards par 72 Black Tee Al Badia course. The top match went to Emirates Golf Club with a 4 & 3 victory from Khalid Yousuf and Joel Neale.

In baking heat the inaugural ‘Elements Golf Society’ proved to be very successful with a total of 27 players from Abu Dhabi British School, Al Ain, Members of Jumeirah Golf Estates and residents of Dubai.
