The 2011 RAK Ramadan Open took centre stage over two great golf courses during the first weekend in August. The format for this event was a 36 Hole Individual Stableford where the competitor with the highest combined total for both days would be crowned 2011 champion.

Johan Buxmann has started off his return to the game in the best possible way, winning his first event back, the Wednesday social stableford on the 27th of July.

Captain Derek Fisher navigated his way around the narrow fairways and treacherous water hazards of Tower Links Golf Club on the 20th of July to claim the midweek social stableford.

Graham Farrington has returned to the winners circle in the midweek social stableford after shooting a fantastic 22 stableford points on the 13th of July. His game of late has been a little off due to a finger injury but he performed like one of the players in the Open as he recorded gross birdies on both par three’s despite the challenging pin positions.??

B.H. Yoo devoured the back nine like a vegetarian at a tofu party as he piled on 32 stableford points in the Powerplay social. That fact that B.H. has shed some unwanted kilograms of late has done wonders for his golf game as his new lean frame and new found flexibility afforded him the luxury of a 3 point win.

Troy Richardson found his golf game in the lengthy rough last night as he finally made his way back to winners circle after firing 20 stableford points in the midweek social.

Ross Burgman has possibly tasted victory for the last time as a Tower Links Member as he succeeded in topping the field in the social stableford on the 22nd of June.
