Last Friday the Al Ghazal Golf Club Murray Brown scored an incredible 45 points to win the Men’s Division second Ballentine’s Stableford Eclectic.  Runner up was the previous week’s winner Walter Tiamfook with 41 from third placed Steve Coulson on 37 points.

Last Friday the Al Ghazal Golf Club’s January Monthly Medal saw Rob Jennings record a nett 70 to win the A Division Medal; runner up by two shots was Ken Ritzal with David Tait taking the spoon and free lesson from resident Head Professional Mark Ireland.

Vinod Arya took overall honours with a nett 73 for the Golden Ticket Qualifier and will represent Al Ghazal Golf Club at the Grand Final in January.  Runner up by one shot was Bernie Blanchard with third place going to Rob Brown three shots further back on count back from Steve Coulson.

Plus 1 handicapper SANA TUFAIL takes the NBAD Dhow Trophy by an impressive 8 shots from runner up Kavita Sehmi [Emirates Golf Club].  After a disappointing score of 78 on the Friday, Sana came back with a one under par 71 on the final round to blow away the opposition with a total 149.

For the past 27 years the National Bank of Abu Dhabi [NBAD] have been involved with ladies golf in the Capitol, and NBAD continue to break records by once again sponsoring the 2011 Abu Dhabi Ladies Open Golf Championship at Al Ghazal Golf Club.

In celebration of the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix the Al Ghazal Golf Club held its annual F1 Power Play Stableford competition at the weekend.

There was more than one celebration for Rob Jennings and his team after conclusion of Saturday’s AGGC Eid Texas Scramble fun competition.
