Emirates Golf Federation
The Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) was formed in 1996 and is the Governing Body for Amateur Golf in the United Arab Emirates. It is overseen by a Board of Directors under the General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare and is affiliated to the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, WAGC, Ladies Golf Union, the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation, the GCC Golf Committee and the Arab Golf Federation.
The EGF sanction the Dubai Desert Classic, the Dubai Ladies Masters and the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship which are the 3 flagship professional events in the UAE.
The EGF is a non-profit making organisation that has a 3 fold mission statement in the UAE:
Increase the awareness of golf in U.A.E
Junior Development of the game of Golf
Improvement of the National Golf Team of the UAE
In September 1998 an extensive Junior Development Programme for children aged 7-15, both U.A.E Nationals and Expatriates, involving over 130 children began throughout the U.A.E.

The EGF office is located at the *Clubhouse, Arabian Ranches Golf Club, Emirates Road, Dubai*.
EGF office is open 9 am to 5 pm Sunday to Thursday and closed Friday/ Saturday and on public holidays.
