July’s member’s monthly medal is considered the hottest so far among the golfing event this year at Al Badia Golf Club. The high level of humidity adds up to the challenge as members made their way to secure places in this monthly golf event.

Chet Riley proved himself strong in his round by becoming the overall winner, even with his series of bogeys in the front nine and just got steady after he scored birdies in holes 17 and 18. The overachiever, Brett Armstrong once again impressed the crowd as a gross winner with 72 points. The confidence of the field was high in both A and B divisions.

The 7 handicapper, Charles Kinniburgh managed his round scoring nett 74 after displacing his closest opponent, Kieran O’Connor who scored nett 77, in this division. By scoring pars on most holes, Matthew Thompson took the honors in the B division after carding a score of nett 73 edging Sergie Neiger who settled as a runner up after a count back at Al Badia Golf Club.

With an eye for the detail, Russel James bagged the on course competition prizes, the longest drive and straightest drive on holes 9 and 12 respectably. Nearest the pin winners were Mark Holmans and Neil Grant.
