KEGS Gentlemen’s Golf Society, based at Emirates Golf Club, Dubai, recently held their DASA Monthly Mug competition on the Floodlit Faldo course. The tournament was split into 2 handicap categories that played simultaneously on the front and back nines. As well as vying for the individual Strokeplay and Stableford prizes on offer donated by Dubai Arabian Shipping Agency  - DASA , the field of almost 60 players also competed for Near Pin and Longest Drive prizes.

Category A players - handicaps 1-19 - tackled the Floodlit Faldo Front nine in a Strokeplay format, 3rd place went to SCOTT KEMP with nett 34 who lost out on a countback to ANDREW PARVIN , the winner playing off a 12 handicap, was DREW STEEDMAN with a stunning nett score of a 3 under par 33.

Category B players –handicaps  19 to 28 - played the back nine off full handicap in a Stableford format , 3rd place went to ANDREW BANNISTER  with 18 points, 2nd was DARRYL PETERSEN with 20 points, but the overwhelming winner was FRANK  HARTLEY who scored an amazing 28 points off a 21 handicap

Philip Reilly of the tournament sponsors ‘DASA International Movers’ said : “I’m really very pleased to see such a good turn out for the event  and the scoring has been excellent, my congratulations to the winners “
