Englebrecht’s Claim Top Medal Prizes at the first Monthly Medal at Al Hamra Golf Club

The first Monthly Medal of the New Year got underway on the second Friday of the month and saw many of the members battling to get a great start to their New Year.

Under perfect golfing conditions it was the Couple of Rita and Eric Engelbrecht who scooped the top prizes in both the Gross and Net division respectively. With both players finishing with a gross score of 80 it came down to a card play-off to see who would claim the main Gross prize.

With Rita having a back 9 of 39 to Eric’s 41 it meant that she would pick up 1st Gross leaving Eric to take the top Net prize instead as he finished with a Net 68. Runner-up Gross was won by Steve Rayment and his score of 81 with Mohammed Dariwsh picking up the Net runner-up after carding a 74.

There were no two’s this week which means a rollover of 180DHS will go to the next Medal.
