De Fraine wins October Monthly Medal at Jumeirah Golf Estates

Jonathan De Fraine stole the limelight with the round of the day after firing a 72 nett.

De Fraine known for his no nonsense steady golf felt a little aggrieved on leaving the course after carding two double bogeys during his round, but in typical style he fought back to over the remaining holes to card the winning score.

Finishing second, also with a 72 nett was Geoffrey Neal who narrowly lost out on a card play-off. Third place was claimed by John Coupland with a nett score of 73. In the Gross Division Brain McCarthy edged out Martin Fernandez to claim the title by warrant of a card play-off as both players finished with a 6 over par total of 78.
