Swan and McKelvey are Rivoli Monthly Medal Champions at Arabian Ranches Golf Club

Gary Swan returned a gross one over par 73 to win the September  Rivoli Monthly Medal supported by Ecco & Speed Cleaning played at ARGC on Friday, 2nd September. Swan swept aside the competition with a brilliant performance in perfect summer conditions.

Swan a regular competitor in the Monthly Medal managed to defeat a strong full field packed with single figure golfers capable of shooting low scores. The Champion had consistent 9’s of 37 and 36 and won by a clear shot from Mark Sayer (8) who took the Best Net 66.
 
Swan commented after his round ‘We appreciate the support from Rivoli, the 2010/11 club captain who did a brilliant job over the year and to the management for making this the premier event for the members to compete in every month. The front nine was tricky but I managed to keep the bogeys off the card and limit the damage to a 37.”

The division “A” Net title and round of the day belonged to Mark Sayer (8) who posted a brilliant Net 66 defeating Omer Khan by five shots.
 
 In division “B” Eric Bruce Smith posted a three over par Net 75 to win by virtue of the count back over Simon Doyle.

In the Ladies division, Adele McKelvey (7) continues to take the Gross title with a solid performance, posting 77 on her way to victory. Louise Doyle  was crowned net Champion with a score of 76 edging out Catherine Hut by one shot.
