Wise Wins The Open Challenge at Al Hamra Golf Club

While the best in the world battle it out at Royal St Georges, Al Hamra decided to host its own Open Challenge. The format for this event was an Individual Stableford with the competitors battling in the searing heat to take one of the top 3 prizes on offer.

The event was well supported with competitors travelling from all over the U.A.E ready to enjoy the superb condition of the Al Hamra course. There were lots of great scores in with both David Thomas and Ian Wise finishing with 37 points but it was Ian who took first prize beating David’s back nine score by 1 point.

Third place went to Dewald Lubbe  on 34 points also after a card play of with Rick Handsel. The next summer event will be the RAK Ramadan Open which is going to be held on 5th and 6th August which is a two day event over the two courses of Tower Links and Al Hamra. With great prizes on offer and delicious food included on both days the event is filling up fast.
