July BMW Monthly Medal at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club

Suresh Shewakramani and Choon Park both carded superb rounds of 68 in the July edition of the Dubai Golf BMW Monthly Medal.

It was Shewakramani who edged out Park on a back nine count back helped by a birdie two on the 161-yard 11th hole. His 4-over par tally clinched him top prize in Division B (handicap 11-28) with Park settling for runners-up position. Kuttan Malattiri continued his fine form from the previous medal with a 70 and third place finish.

Division A was keenly contested with three players all carding a net 71. Tony Azoulay clinched top prize after a better back nine that included eight pars and a solitary bogey on the 447-yard 12th. Darren Cole took runners-up place with Johnny Aldridge in third. The consolation for Aldridge was his gross 74, good enough for the best gross of the day.
