Blanchard’s New Team on a High again at Al Ghazal Golf Club Hit n Giggle

The AGGC’s Fridays Hit N Giggle competition sponsored this week by Xavier Carrie & Adda Haouara was again fully subscribed.  Obviously buoyed by last week’s winning performance, Team Captain Bernie Blanchard with new team members managed to do it again, winning by .7 from second placed Richard Whiteside, Anette Rego, Martin Sutherland and Toni Briegel on 24.9.

The DDH trophy went to Asaad, Juma, Bakheet and Gul on 29.1.  The Subsidiary prizes went to Martin Sutherland for nearest the pin and longest drive men, Sue Murray for longest drive - ladies. 

Guess the distance prize went to John and Lesley Mills and Jack & Lizette Breytenbach, they guessed the ball was 12 feet from the pin on hole No.9, actual distance was 12 feet 1 inch!  Finally the WAD Trophy was presented to Paul Carrahar for scoring the perfect ace on hole No. 11 the day before on 23 June 2011 in a friendly match – congratulations to Paul, this is his second Hole in one on the same hole in 2009.
