Richardson wins the Al Hamra Golf Club Trophy

There was no easing off from the Al Hamra members as another fiercely contested club tournament produced some spectacular golf as the members battled for the top spot and the honour of seeing their name on the winners board for the 2011 Al Hamra Trophy.

It was new member Kathy Richardson who with 38 points who claimed the winners prize collecting her first major golfing accolade since joining Al Hamra. Richardsons 38 point haul was good enough to give her a 3 shot lead over the nearest competitors of Steve “Majestic” Rayment and Dave Martin who both finished on 35 points.

A countback was required to decide the fate of the 2nd and 3rd places. Coming out on top was Rayment piping Martin into third place after the officials went to the back six hole scores to settle the results.  

Other prizes on offer were best front nine won by Cindy Rials and best back nine claimed by George Ward.
