Bennett, Tickell & Gelappini’s take Marble Renewal & Speed Cleaning Team Event

The four-player team consisting of Steve Bennett, Graham Tickell, Edoardo and Beatrice Gelappini returned a score of 102 Stableford points to win the Marble Renewal & Speed Cleaning “Sneaky Stableford Shambles” event, held Saturday, 9th April at Arabian Ranches Golf Club.

The format for this event was, all four players tee off, the best positioned tee shot was selected and then everyone played their own ball from that point on until their ball was holed out. Only on the Par 3's did all four players play their own ball from tee to green. Instruction were placed on the following tee box of each hole to indicate which scores were to be recorded towards the team total for the hole previously completed.
 
The winning team combined brilliantly and managed their game well with great tee shots to set themselves up for a low scoring round. They scored 5 or more points on 11 of the 18 holes on their way to posting the winning total. Bennett & co had an outward half of 44 and an inward half of 58 for a total of 102 points to win by one from runners up Janet Sanderson, Shahid Mir, Mark Evans and Karen Evans.
