Zenia Wivou has perfect start to 2011 at Al Hamra Golf Club

Zenia Wivou had the perfect start to 2011 when she claimed the honours in the year opening New Years Day Cup at Al Hamra Golf Club.

Zenia Wivou's score of 35 points put her into a card play off with Ian Broom who’s back nine got off to a flyer with gross birdie on 13 and eagle on 14!

Unfortunately, Broom could not keep the fine form down the stretch, double bogeys at 15 and 18 cost him the card count back as he amassed 17 points to Zenia’s 18 which included just one net bogey, one birdie and the rest solid pars.

Third place was again settled on a card count back between three players, after the administrators had calculated the results third place was picked up by Liezl Ward who fired a brilliant back 9 of 19 points to accumulate a total of 34.
