Junior Brown Triumphant at Address Montgomerie Ladies Open

The 2010 Ladies Open sponsored by Nivea and AGMC BMW showed how far junior golf has come in Dubai. The three lowest handicap players in the field were Lindsay Brown, Sana Tufail and Nasha Sarkari all of which are local juniors who topped the EGF order of merit last season.

After Day 1 Nasha Sarkari and Lindsay Brown were tied at the top with a gross score of 76, with three players tied in third with gross 79. Day two again saw perfect scoring weather and course that was no match for these ladies, Nasha and Lindsay both carded front nine 36’s to remain atop the leader.

Things stayed tight until Sarkari bogeyed the 15th and Brown made par and never looked back.

Lindsay secured the victory with a total gross score of 151. In the net category, another junior Serifa D’Souza bested the field by four shots to take home to best net prize. She carded an excellent day 2 net 63 to come behind to make sure a junior one both the gross and net categories.
